French construction industry on the high road to BAUMA 2010
UBIFRANCE, the French Agency for International Business Development, will present 28 French companies specialising in the construction sector on the French Pavilion at BAUMA. BAUMA, the leading international exhibition for the building industry, will take place in Munich (Germany) from 19 to 25 April 2010.
The French Pavilions will present innovations in materials and techniques for buildings, excavation and public works. They will be located in Halls A3, B2, A6 and C4, and in the outdoor area of the trade show, in Halls F8 and F11. BAUMA, which will take place in late April 2010, will bring together thousands of exhibitors across a floor space of 555,000m2 – a record for the trade show. BAUMA is the trade fair of reference for the construction industry in Europe and internationally, and is held in Munich, in the south of Germany. The following companies will be present on the French Pavilions: ACREOS, AGS BTP, AIRMEEX, AIRSTAR, ARGUMAT, CNSE, the COURBIS Group, EXSTO, GIRON, HULTEC EUROPE, HYDRAUMATIC, KLAC INDUSTRIE, LOMAROUTE, LUMIAIR, MABI, MAFELEC, MARAIS SA, METHOCAD CBS, the MONITEUR GROUP, M-S, RIVARD, SATECO, SECATOL, SIROCO, SMIE, SNDC, STABLINE FAHRNER, and THEAM SA. A full catalogue, presenting all the French exhibitors, will be available upon request during the trade show. French construction companies are internationally renowned, with a 15% share of the market worldwide. In 2007, French companies in the building sector generated a turnover of €24.5 billion, including €20.1 billion for public works alone. This is mainly due to the fact that, in France, leading construction companies play a significant role in carrying out roadworks and general earthwork. French SMEs, for their part, offer a wide range of specialised products and services. French companies carry out more than 50% of their business in Europe. French exhibitors attending BAUMA will be seeking opportunities to work on the numerous projects that are being undertaken throughout Europe in the roadworks, public-works and transport-infrastructure sectors. BAUMA 2007 set new records, with 3,002 exhibitors from 49 countries, and 502,725 visitors from 190 countries. The 2010 exhibition will be even bigger, with 555,000 square metres dedicated to building machines and materials, worksite vehicles, construction tools and mining equipment. Major innovations will also be presented across each sector of the industry.
