FDI Logbox collects on overdue bills across Europe

FDI Logbox, a specialist in credit management solutions for the fashion industry, has extended its product range with the Collectbox, a new service enabling companies to collect unpaid bills easily. FDI Logbox’s experienced staff take charge of all collection operations, using their in-depth knowledge of fashion-sector shops and distributors. The company is able to manage debtors across Europe, through its network of subsidiaries.

Dominique Chatelin, FDI Logbox Chairman and CEO, says, “Today, businesses need cash flow more than ever. Company executives have to find new solutions to reach their objectives and fund their development. By protecting our clients’ account receivables and promptly recovering overdue invoices, FDI Logbox offers a global customer accounting management solution to reduce potentially severe losses due to unpaid invoices, in order to limit losses caused by defaulting payers.”

FDI Logbox’s main online platform – Logbox Online – helps companies in the fashion industry to reduce losses and to improve cash flow while still retaining full control of operations. The new Collectbox service is designed to complete the Logbox service offer, by providing support for additional portfolios in outsourcing assignments, particularly the local outsourcing of the export ledger.

FDI Logbox operates in 25 countries and is able to collect outstanding debts from retailers based throughout Europe. FDI Logbox’s operational teams will perform their collection work from one of the company’s nine subsidiaries. It is, therefore, possible to rely on these locally based teams to manage debtors from all over Europe.

“We collect overdue debts on behalf of our customers, and we perform this as an integral part of their sales relations. We do our utmost to preserve our customers’ sales relations and image on the market. At all times, we keep in mind that our clients’ debtors are, above all, their customers,” continues Dominique Chatelin. “We work closely with our customers, deciding together on the most appropriate strategy for their company and for each of their customers. We send them real-time updates on our work in collecting their debts, using Logbox Online, our online platform.”

Given the difficult economic climate at present, late payments and debt rescheduling are becoming increasingly common, while at the same time funding facilities and credit insurance are becoming scarce resources. It is therefore essential for companies to prevent the development of cash leakages.

Debt collection can be a long and costly process, particularly when dealing with export markets. Differing regulations and sales practices, as well as related costs, make it an extremely complex process to manage. Outsourcing this business to an expert such as FDI Logbox allows companies to deploy their internal resources around their core business, and thus to emerge from the crisis less vulnerable, and even stronger.
