French Trade Commission unveils French pavilion at Ecobuild 2009

The French Pavilion at Ecobuild (in London) in March 2009, which will showcase innovative companies in the field of environmentally friendly construction, is supported by the French Trade Commission in the UK. Driven by an ambition to achieve maximum energy savings in buildings, the participating French companies will be putting the spotlight on a range of eco-friendly building solutions they have successfully pioneered and promoted.

A total of 15 ‘green’ construction companies from France will be exhibiting at the Ecobuild trade show, which is being held in London from 3 to 5 March 2009, and will be part of the French Pavilion (Earls Court 1 — Stand No1482), with the backing of the French Trade Commission in the UK and UBIFRANCE, France’s export-support agency.

The French companies, from across the construction sector, will present their innovative construction products and advanced technological solutions in green building in order to reinforce their professional contacts with British counterparts and to provide new business opportunities for trade between France and the UK.

The French Pavilion will offer a unique environment in which eco-friendly contractors, professional builders, remodelers, architects, landscapers, developers, distributors, supply-chain players, and designers can discover original products and find new business partners.

Companies on the French Pavilion are listed below; a catalogue with further details on each of the exhibitors is available upon request.

AMYTIS
For the past six years, Amytis has been developing a living wall system for interior and exterior use. The Amytis® panel represents the outcome of in-depth research: it is a patented, multi-purpose, polypropylene plant module. Plants are planted in a specially made pH neutral, rot-free, well-aired, water-retaining growing medium. For watering, Amytis ® uses a very simple fertilizing and dripping system; the water consumption is of approximately 120 litres per square metre and per year. All this, after installation, improves the thermal and phonic isolation of the building, and also gives it an attractive, natural and ecological appearance. www.amytis2.com

ARD – ECOVOIE

ARD has developed and promotes ECOVOIE® — a construction process that is both economical and environmentally friendly, which is applied to paths, squares, parking spaces and traffic areas. Thanks to the approach pioneered by ARD, and on the basis of the existing ground-covering materials and features, the outcome that is obtained is of a ground surface looking natural and integrating easily into the existing urban environment.
